KANSAS CITY, Kan. — The co-owner of Schlitterbahn Waterpark is now in Wyandotte County to face charges in connection with the 2016 death of Caleb Schwab.
U.S. Marshals took Jeff Henry into custody in Texas, and he was en-route to Wyandotte County Tuesday. Henry was booked into the Wyandotte County Jail at 1:52 a.m. Wednesday.
Henry, John Schooley, the designer of the Verruckt waterslide, and Henry and Sons Construction Company were indicted on reckless second-degree murder as well as aggravated battery and aggravated child endangerment charges stemming from others who rode Verruckt.
U.S. Marshals took Schooley into custody Tuesday at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. Schooley was returning to the United States from China.
Tyler Miles, the director of operations at the waterpark, and Schlitterbahn Waterpark also face charges including felony involuntary manslaughter, aggravated battery, and aggravated child endangerment.
Miles has since bonded out of jail.
Henry’s bond is set at $500,000. His first court appearance hasn’t been set yet.
