KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police in California continue to search for the nephew of former Missouri Gov. Bob Holden, who went missing seven days ago in Sacramento.

Alex Holden, 25, was last seen on Dec. 31 in the downtown Sacramento area, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

His “disappearance is uncharacteristic and family is concerned for his welfare,” police said on Facebook.

Holden is the son of two Greene County judges, Calvin Holden and Margaret Palmietto. After his disappearance, his parents went to California to search for him, the Springfield News-Leader reported.

“It’s really uncharacteristic. This is not like him to do this,” Palmietto told Sacramento news station KCRA.

According to the news station, Holden moved to Sacramento from Missouri two years ago to work for Amazon.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
