KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Seven people were displaced after a house fire at 705 Bennington Avenue Sunday morning.
Emergency crews were called to the scene of a house fire at 10:52 a.m.
Crews reported smoke and fire showing from the two story home on their arrival.
The fire was reported under control shortly after 11 a.m.
One firefighter suffered a minor burn to the side of his face.
Fire officials said seven people were in the home watching TV when a police officer in the area drove by, saw smoke and called the fire department.
All residents got out of the home safely, but four adults and three children were displaced and are getting assistance from the Red Cross.
