KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Shawnee residents can now apply for the Citizen's Police Academy.
Participants will meet and interact with officers and see how the department works to keep the community safe.
The academy is a 12-week program that begins Feb. 27 and ends May 21.
Most sessions will meet at the Shawnee Justice Center.
