KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Update: Early Friday morning, the Missouri Highway Patrol sent an update saying that Coe was located and she is safe.
Original story: Independence police on Thursday issued a Silver Alert for a missing 85-year-old woman with dementia.
Mary Coe was last seen around 2 p.m. on Thursday at her home in the 900 block of East U.S. 24 in Independence, police said. She left home driving her gold 2010 Toyota Camry with the Missouri disabled license plate number CC20H.
Coe is 5-feet-8 and weighs 120 pounds. She has medium-length gray hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing blue pants and a blue jacket.
