KANSAS CITY, Mo. — You can show pride for the Chiefs and support children in the greater Kansas City area at the same time.
Right now, the city of Kansas City, Missouri, is selling smaller versions of the Chiefs-themed banners hanging on light poles around town.
A portion of proceeds from the sale will go to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City to buy supplies and equipment for its after-school arts and sports programs.
“This is the time where we, as a city, come together and really celebrate pride in our city and our Kansas City Chiefs,” explained Chris Hernandez, the city’s communication director.
A graphic designer working for the city came up with the look of the banner, which includes the city logo, a football and several landmarks, like the streetcar and Bartle Hall.
It is available for purchase online for $25 plus shipping and taxes. Click here for more information.
The city did a similar sale during the Royals playoff runs in 2014 and 2015.
