KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Monday morning commute was slowed down by several inches of snow that fell across the Kansas City area from a winter storm Sunday.

Throughout Kansas City, road conditions varied from snow covered to bare pavement, and included a few slushy intersections.
Ian Pointelin commuted into Kansas City from Basehor and said road conditions were good.
“Coming in from Basehor, they’re actually pretty clear. KDOT did a great job. I think everybody is driving respectable speeds and there’s nobody trying to set land speed records," he said.
According to Kansas City, Missouri's online snow removal resources, the city has 200 vehicles to clear snow in the city. The city said 65 vehicles are pickup trucks used to clear snow from smaller neighborhood streets.
