It's a big week for Sporting Kansas City. For the first time in the team's history, it is launching a marketing campaign during the Super Bowl.
"I felt a lot more pressure to get our message across," said Brad Mertel, Sporting KC's director of Video Operations.
The Sporting KC marketing team worked for weeks to make the Super Bowl ad, which is just the beginning of the new campaign. It's called All for the City.
"It's really a rallying cry for our fan base, really for the team - that we play for Kansas City," said Andy Tretiak, Sporting KC's chief marketing officer.
The commercial features Sporting KC fans watching the team's games at different hot spots around Kansas City. That voice you hear? It's rapper TechN9ne.

"People live in so many different areas but they all come together on a game day to support Sporting Kansas City," said Tretiak.
With the Royals and Chiefs both seeing success, Sporting KC officials want to make sure their fans don't forget them.
"Certainly from a performance standpoint, the competition has been stronger than it ever has been before," said Tretiak of the Royals and Chiefs.
Despite stiff competition from the other teams, Sporting KC saw only a slight drop in attendance last year, down only about 6,000 fans from 2014.
With the new campaign that also features billboards, Sporting KC hopes to keep winning the hearts of fans by showing they do it - All for the City.
