We got in early! Really early! Two days early to the Johnson County Home and Garden Show at the Overland Park Convention Center.
They were still creating the amazing looks and landscapes that will help cure your Spring Fever from January 26 to 28.
Mitch Benjamin from Doctor’s Lawn and Landscape took us through the building process they’re creating that turns your backyard into living space.
It all starts back in December. They measure and cut and build. Then, load it up and bring it to the exhibition space where it is all put together.
(Remember, it all has to go up in about four days, then back down in about two days.)
Think of it like a very sophisticated Lego project but with real bricks, mortar and water.
There are over 200 exhibitors this year covering everything from exercise equipment to saunas to the latest in bathroom and kitchen design.
Stars from your favorite do-it-yourself shows will also be there to help.
All in all, this is the place to be on a winter weekend that has you dreaming about the coming spring.
