Starlight Theatre starts indoor plays for winter

When you think Starlight Theatre, you might think of long summer nights filled with warm breezes as something amazing unfolds on the stage.

Now, the creative folks at Starlight want you to know:  “Winter is coming…and so are more great theater experiences.”

Well okay, winter is already here AND so are those great theater experiences.

Now, there’s a brand new stage built for an audience of more than 500 in the wings of Starlight.

This week, the theater will host the first of four shows of "Dixie’s Tupperware Party", which opens Tuesday and runs through Sunday.

Over the years, the back-stage area of the theater has been the scene of civic events and one experimental show last winter.

But, now it is a full season of fun.

More about Dixie’s Tupperware Party |

Dixie Longate has been on the road with her party for about eight years.  This is NOT your Grandmother’s Tupperware get-together.

Dixie, with help from the audience, teaches lots of hilarious and slightly naughty lessons; and she is thrilled to be kicking off the Starlight’s inaugural winter season.
