KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The flashing string of lights in the sky over the Kansas City metro Monday night was likely satellites, according to the National Weather Service of Kansas City.
Sixty SpaceX Starlink satellites were launched earlier this month, according to Space.com.
One Twitter user in Weatherby, Missouri, reported seeing the satellites around 9:16 p.m.
SpaceX is a company owned by entrepreneur Elon Musk.
Those same satellites will likely be visible again Tuesday night, according to 41 Action News Chief Meteorologist Gary Lezak.
