KANSAS CITY, Mo. — After three Kansas City police officers were shot Sunday investigating a person of interest in the July 6 murder of UMKC international graduate student Sharath Koppu, support came from all corners of the Twitterverse.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was among the first to chime in, expressing gratitude that the KCPD officers were all expected to survive:

The Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office also praised the officers, who put their lives on the line to apprehend a possible murder suspect:
