RAYTOWN, Mo. -- UPDATE 6 PM 6/12/2017: Police say they have contacted a woman seen in surveillance footage at Raytown Applebee's just before a man was shot June 8.
Sammy Holmes, 30, of Kansas City, Kan. managed to drive from the Applebee's to a fast food restaurant a few blocks away. Holmes died a few hours later at a hospital.
A special squad of detectives is working to find the suspect who killed Holmes.
Detectives released surveillance video and photos in hopes to identify a woman seen in surveillance video at Applebee's prior to the shooting.
The woman was wearing a dark sleeveless shirt and patterned shorts or a skirt.
Detectives would like to talk with her and urged her to call the TIPS Hotline.
Police are also looking for tips on the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
