Suspect rams three Jackson County sheriff's vehicles before arrest

JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. — A suspect reportedly rammed three Jackson County Sheriff's vehicles then fled Saturday morning on Interstate 435 at 23rd Street.

Sheriff Darryl Forte tweeted at 6:30 a.m. that a suspect intentionally drove into three deputies' vehicles and took off, ramming one vehicle twice.

The suspect was later apprehended by Kansas City, Missouri, police near I-435 and 63rd Street after striking another vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

It's unclear why deputies encountered the suspect vehicle or if any charges have been filed.
