KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Four people were injured early Friday afternoon after a white Lincoln SUV barreled into an Olathe strip mall.
First responders were called out just after 1 p.m. to the strip mall at 809 S. Clairborne Road.
SKYTRACKER video shows the Lincoln SUV fully into the front portion of a business at the strip mall.
Paramedics transported four people who were inside the building at the time. None of their injuries were described as life-threatening.
Police say the driver of the SUV remained on scene and was cooperating with police.
Pat Barber, cleans the business and is friends with customers and staff.
When she heard about the crash, she rushed to the salon to find out what happened and who was hurt.
“A gentleman came to pick up his wife," Barber said. "She was having her hair done, and for whatever reason he didn’t hit the brake—he hit the accelerator by mistake and it just went all the way to the back to the shampoo bowls."
She told 41 Action News that the force of the SUV crashing into the salon was so great that a heavy oak desk at the front of the salon was pushed all the way to the back of the salon.
