KANSAS CITY, Mo. — T-Mobile and Sprint are officially one company, as of Wednesday.
The two cell carriers completed the merger and are now called New T-Mobile.
The merger will allow the company to invest $40 billion into its network over the next three years and potentially create $43 billion in value for shareholders, according to a press release.
New T-Mobile estimates 14 times more capacity on the network over the next several years than T-Mobile currently has today.
With the transition, T-Mobile CEO, John Legere will move into a board member position and Mike Sievert will be the new head of the company.
