KANSAS CITY, Mo. - 8,000 walkers took to the streets Saturday morning to raise money during the KC Heart Walk.
The American Heart Association's Heart and Stroke walk and 5K has so far raised more than five hundred thousand of their $820,000.00 goal.
Festivities began in the Power and Light district at 7:00 a.m., with the walk and run beginning before the main heat of the day at 8:30.
