KANSAS CITY, Kan. — A 17-year-old boy died and two other juveniles were injured in a shooting early Sunday morning in Kansas City, Kansas, police said.
Around 12:40 a.m., officers were called to the 2300 block of Birch Drive on a reported shooting.
Upon arrival, officers discovered two juveniles had been shot by an unknown suspect.
One juvenile died from his injuries. Police on Monday identified the victim as 17-year-old Donavan Sherman of KCK.
The second victim at the scene sustained injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
A third juvenile was later dropped off at an area hospital, also with non-life-threatening injuries.
