Three men with hammers rob Overland Park jewelry store, police say

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Three masked men robbed a jewelry store in Overland Park Monday night, smashing glass cases and taking an unknown amount of jewelry, police said.

The incident happened around 8 p.m. at the Jared Galleria of Jewelry in Corbin Park near 135th Street and Metcalf Avenue. The three men used hammers to break glass cases and take the jewelry, police said.

One suspect allegedly threatened workers, saying that he had a gun.

The value of the stolen jewelry is unknown, police said.

The men were wearing long-sleeve shirts, gloves, masks and hoodies.
