OVERLAND PARK, Ks. - A raft trip down a storm drain in the rain Tuesday night came to an unexpected end for three teens.

The trio put their raft in a creek about 6:50 p.m. in a storm drain near 119th and Grant.

A fourth boy stood watch on the bank.

That boy saw the raft pop out of the water, but the teens were not with the raft.

The teen called 911 and emergency crews arrived to search the drain.

The three boys managed to walk down part of the rain-swollen drain and rescuers helped them from the water.

The boys suffered cuts and bruises and were released to their guardians.
