KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Beginning Monday, season ticket members will have the first chance to buy single-game tickets for the upcoming Kansas City Chiefs season.
Because of the novel coronavirus, the Chiefs cannot honor season ticket packages this season. Instead, they’ve carried over those packages to the 2021 season.
Now, fans who purchased packages for the 2020 season will be the first people with a chance to buy single-game tickets for the season.
The Chiefs said those season ticket members should have already received an email with information on how to purchase the tickets online.
Tickets to the first three home games go on sale Monday. For those games, the team plans to allow 22 percent of the stadium’s capacity inside. The Chiefs may be allowed to welcome a larger number of fans later in the season.
The team is selling tickets in pods of up to six seats. Each pod will be socially distant from others inside Arrowhead Stadium to meet guidelines in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
If there are tickets left over after season ticket members get the opportunity to purchase them, the Chiefs will open the sale to Jackson County residents and then to the general public. The team will announce details on that sale at a later date.

The Chiefs welcomed 2,000 fans to Arrowhead Stadium Saturday to watch a training camp practice. The team plans to allow 5,000 fans at practice this upcoming Saturday.
