The Kansas City Chiefs is beginning its second year with the KC production company,  Tico Productions.

Tico Productions is expanding efforts to engage the Spanish-speaking community with Chiefs games.

Oscar Monterroso and his wife CiCi Rojas are the co-owners of Tico Productions. Monterroso said they are changing radio stations this year and adding a radio station.

“We will be broadcasting Chiefs games in Spanish in Kansas City, Kansas, Wichita, and the Kansas City metro," said Monterroso.

The games will be broadcast on 1160 AM, 100.5 FM and in Wichita on 99.7 FM.

You can also hear the Chiefs games in Spanish by clicking the Spanish option on the Chiefs app.  The Chiefs have been broadcasting their games in Spanish on the radio with other companies for at least five years.

Tico Productions is also beefing up its digital engagement with Chiefs fans.

The Chiefs organization sent this statement  Wednesday explaining that its decision to work with Tico Productions is about fan engagement.

"Hispanic fandom in the National Football League continues to grow on an annual basis and we know that we have a number of Spanish-speaking Chiefs fans here in Kansas City and throughout the Chiefs Kingdom. Understanding how to reach and engage our fans is always one of our top priorities and our strategic partnership with Tico Sports has played a key role in connecting with the Hispanic community. Through the programming and platforms that they offer their listeners and followers, we know that we are reaching Spanish-speaking individuals who are interested in keeping up with what is going on with our team,"

Tico Productions also landed another NFL contract. They will be broadcasting games in Spanish on the radio this season for the Raiders.
