KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The mother of a toddler found wandering the street near 31st & Charlotte overnight has finally been located after more than twelve hours.
Police began searching for the parents of an approximate 2-year-old black male found on the street shortly after 10:00 p.m.
The boy was wearing black shorts and a white shirt, with socks and no shoes.
Early this morning nobody had reported him missing.
Detectives continued to search the neighborhood Sunday morning, and hoped a parent might contact them about their missing child.
Officers say the child's mother was finally located just after 11:00 Sunday morning, more than twelve hours after the child was found.
Police have not yet said where the parents were, or the circumstances on how the boy was found wandering the street.
The investigation is ongoing.
