A former physician assistant accused of sexually abusing patients at a Leavenworth VA Medical Center was in court again Tuesday.
Mark Wisner is facing several charges, including criminal felony sodomy and sexual battery and was supposed to go to trial nearly a year ago. However, his defense has kept delaying the trial with several continuances. The defense asked the Leavenworth county judge for a continuance again on Tuesday but was denied.

Wisner's lawyer said they needed more time to get documents from the VA.
The judge took a moment to make his decision before denying the continuance saying "there could be a never ending case in need for records" and "at some point, we need finality in this case."

Wisner's trial is now set for April 3. One of the alleged victim's spoke with 41 Action News, wishing to remain anonymous. He said he first reported Wisner to officials over three years ago, so Tuesday was encouraging.
"It's hard for me to move on with my life until I have some sort of conclusion and for the judge to take that into consideration today and to rule against the defense, that was great." Said the army veteran.
Wisner worked at VA Eastern Kansas Health Care System. The alleged abuse happened from 2012-2014. 41 action news obtained an affidavit last year that had Wisner confessing that he did unnecessary genital exams and over prescribed opiates.
