Do the Royals have a new lucky charm? Two fans believe their seven-foot tall treasure will help the team in its run for baseball royalty.
Jon and James Dittmer are two brothers who towed something much bigger than a grill to their tailgate Thursday night.
They brought a stuffed moose.
“We have to put his horns on, they actually come off so he can fit in the trailer,” Jon said, who is a taxidermist by trade at Spring Creek Taxidermy. “We refurbished him, cleaned him up, gave him a new life. Kind of like an animal rescue, right?”

The Dittmers’ claim the moose is the Royals’ good luck charm.
“Every time he’s been here, we’ve won, just saying.”
Once the moose is loose, he draws a crowd.
“Everybody stops in and takes a picture,” he said.
