Two people are in custody after a police chase Wednesday afternoon.

Kansas City police chased a red GMC truck starting at 12th and Jackson at around 3:54 p.m. The tags on the vehicle showed it to be involved in a carjacking and the truck refused to stop. The chase reached high speeds as they made their way through Northeast Kansas City.

It ended in Budd Park shortly after 4 p.m. where police took two people into custody. There was a youth soccer clinic being held on other side of the park at the time of the chase, but no reported injuries.
