KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two people died in a head-on crash Monday afternoon in Franklin County, Kansas, authorities said.
The crash occurred shortly before 3:15 p.m. in the 2800 block of Rock Creek Road, just east of U.S. 59, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.
Deputies closed off the area to investigate the crash. Franklin County EMS and the Lincoln-Ottawa-Harrison Fire Department also responded to the wreck.
It was determined that Jan Croucher, 54, of Otttawa, was traveling eastbound on Rock Creek Road in a Chevrolet Equinox and Justin Hubbard, 31, of Rantoul, was traveling westbound in a Hyundai Santa Fe when the vehicles collided head-on.
Both drivers died at the scene. No other details about the crash were available.
