KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu brought his annual Thanksgiving event, "Tyrann's Turkeys," to Kansas City on Thursday.
More than 320 families from the True Faith Outreach Ministries received Thanksgiving turkeys along with stuffing mix and vegetables for the holiday.
Harvesters made contributions for the event.
"I think it's important to use your platform, to use your resources to really help others, lift others, inspire others," Mathieu said.
He was joined by his Chiefs teammates for the event.
Mathieu also welcomed a new member to his family on Thursday. He revealed the birth of his baby girl that morning.
