KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Urban League of Greater Kansas City partnered with the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority to roll out a racial equity and social justice bus.

The bus commemorates Black History Month and the Urban League’s 100-year civil rights legacy. A team of associates at Barkley designed the bus wrap with bold, positive statements calling for unity, equity and justice.

"This is a bus about access, about opportunity, about promoting freedom, justice and equality," said Gwen Grant, CEO of the Urban League. "This bus will travel the roadways citywide in Kansas City to send this strong and powerful message about unity and about peace and justice."

Grant said she hopes the messages on the bus inspire and motivate people to play an active role in bridging Kansas City’s racial divide.
