An historic mansion cared for by volunteers will need help as it tries to replace an antique window.
A vandal threw a rock through a half-inch thick beveled glass window in the dining room door at the Bingham-Waggoner Estate, 313 W. Pacific Ave., in Independence.
The damage was discovered late Friday night.
The volunteer called to the estate after the vandal struck said in a Facebook post the money they made on a busy Friday was money they needed.
"So when we have to make up a $400 loss in that case - it probably means 80 extra tours that we have to give to make up for that financial loss,'' said Steve Schreiber of the Bingham-Waggoner Historical Society.
