Authorities are investigating after shots were fire into a vehicle, causing it to roll over, on Thursday evening.
The car rolled over in the northbound lanes of 71 Highway near 39th Street in Kansas City, Missouri. The highway is closed in both directions at 39th Street as police investigate.
Three ambulances were called to the scene.
One person suffered life-threatening injuries, and a second person suffered serious injuries. Police said the two victims are both adults and had sustained gunshot wounds.
Two kids, a 6-year-old and a 4-year-old, were also in the car at the time. They were taken to Children's Mercy with non-serious injuries.
