Adrenaline junkies can get their water slide fix on Thursday.
Verrückt, dubbed the world's tallest water slide, will officially open to the public at Schlitterbahn in KCK. Park employees and other human test subjects have ridden the ride since last week, and members of the media will get their chance on Wednesday.
The ride's open has been delayed as testing continued and modifications were made. Those who wish to take the plunge will have to climb 264 steps to the summit, before piling in a raft with others and reach speeds of approximately 55 miles per hour on the way down.
This story will be updated. Watch two point-of-view test rides of Verrückt below, including one from the ride's designer.
