INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — Gunfire into an Independence mobile home overnight hit someone inside. Police said Wednesday morning the victim was expected to survive.
A caller reported hearing gunshots shortly after 11 p.m. Monday. When officers arrived at a mobile home park on East 47th Street near 40 Highway, they found a home with bullet holes in it. Inside was a person who had been shot.
Paramedics took the shooting victim to the hospital.
As of early Wednesday, officers did not have any suspect in custody or provide any suspect description.
The victim's identity was not immediately available.
