KANSAS CITY, Mo. — 41 Action News partnered with community leaders and activists to address protests and calls for change that have occurred in Kansas City, Missouri, following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
Kansas City, Missouri, Mayor Quinton Lucas, Fraternal Order of Police President Brad Lemon and community activist Justice Horn joined 41 Action News Anchor Dia Wall to talk openly about what's been going on and their hopes for next steps.
Community activists are calling for things like local control of the police department, bias training and body cameras.
The conversation touched on those topics and other items, such as looting at protests and police training.
