KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police responded to a fatal crash Friday morning.
It happened around 4:30 a.m. near Brush Creek and Ward Parkway.

Police said the driver, identified as 33-year-old Brenda Knighten of Kansas City, was killed when the vehicle hit a tree after going off the roadway.
KCPD investigated the crash for several hours early Friday.
