KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A water main break outside of Kansas City, Missouri, City Hall Friday closed the building early and sent water shooting into the air.

A Kansas City, Missouri, Water Department spokesperson said contractors working in the area accidentally hit a service line connected to a 6-inch water main, which broke.
Water is turned off while crews make repairs.
A spokesperson said they hope to have service restored by morning.
The break happened on the 11th Street side of city hall.
