KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Residents of a Kansas City, Missouri, senior living center raised $115,000 for the workers who take care of them.
Luann Peterson, treasurer of the Kingswood Senior Living Resident Association, said in a news release that residents wanted to set a “high goal” to help those who help them.
“We raised $90,000 in 2019, so we set our goal at $100,000 for 2020 and surpassed it,” Peterson said.
Families of residents also contributed to the fundraiser, the release stated.
“We hope to make our staffs’ holiday a little brighter and show them how much we appreciate their help and support through this very challenging year,” Peterson said.
