KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Mavericks hockey players brought Chik-Fil-A meals to frontline workers at Centerpoint Medical Center.
Players spent the day off the ice to volunteer and serve healthcare workers. Willie Corrin said those risking their lives to keep others healthy deserve appreciation and recognition for what they do.
“We want to give back to the community, especially our first responders here giving vaccinations out and stuff like that,” Corrin said. “It’s great what they’re doing and we’re just here to help them out as much as we can.”
Mavericks players will bring more meals to Overland Park Regional Medical Center Thursday.
