KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Mitchell Schwartz knows about pancakes on the field as one of the NFL's top right tackles, but he's also a whiz in the kitchen.
Schwartz, a Super Bowl LIV champion, put his culinary skills to work Thursday, teaming up with Operation BBQ Relief to make meals for those in need.
41 Action News caught up with him on the County Club Plaza as he helped load up meals.
“You realize how many people need the help,” he said. “That’s something you take for granted until you see it in person, and you’re also seeing what they’re cooking and the quantities they’re cooking and you’re carrying out boxes and boxes of food. There’s still so much more to, so it really puts things in perspective.”
