KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Like most children her age, Lilliana Alexander was excited to buy herself a new toy with money she’d received for her birthday and from the Tooth Fairy.
But the Girl Scout from Grandview had a change of heart amid the coronavirus pandemic and came up with an even sweeter idea.
Lilliana bought cookies to donate to the Grandview Police Department instead.
“I got to give them cookies, because they were keeping us safe,” Lilliana said. “And I wish I had more cookies, so I could give more police officers more cookies.”
