KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Thousands of hygiene kits were distributed on Monday to children in the Kansas City metro who have been affected by COVID-19.
Representatives from Heart to Heart International and Love Fund for Children handed out 5,000 kits.
The kits included soap, toothpaste and shampoo, among other items.
Heart to Heart International workers spent time in the Marshall Islands earlier this year to help combat the spread of COVID-19. The group also has partnered with Hope Faith Homeless Assistance to help those experiencing homelessness during the coronavirus pandemic.
Heart to Heart International is based in Lenexa, while Love Fund for Children is based in Kansas City, Missouri.
