KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A group at Good Shepherd Hospice is painting the windows of residents' rooms at Morningside Place in Overland Park.

They’re painting images such as flowers and butterflies to keep the residents engaged.

“Having them be able to see outside and be able to see the nice artwork that they’re going to put on the windows, it’s going to be great,” said Howard Turley, executive director of Morningside Place. “It brings a smile to their face. They love that.”

Turley said he’s proud of the way the community has come together to lift each other up and support one another during these difficult times.
