KANSAS CITY, Mo. — More support is coming to Harvesters Community Food Network during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hy-Vee recently announced that it collected more than $143,000 from customers as part of its $1 million campaign to restock food banks.
Harvesters staff say the donation will go a long way.
“It is terribly taxing bringing in shelf-stable product and that is one of the main things we’re looking for,” Brian Fry, director of acquisition for Harvesters, said. “This will go a long way for that.”
