KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An Independence teacher has donated dozens of bicycles to students throughout the school district.
Stacy Huffington so far has delivered 65 bikes as a way to give back amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“For my students to have the bike and to have that outlet, to be able to ride a bike is amazing,” Huffington said in a video from the Independence School District. “It gives you some independence, even if you are still in your own neighborhood.”
More than 100 bikes have been donated, many from teachers and staff members in the district.
