KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City, Missouri-based company donated 100,000 masks to area hospitals.
Lockton Companies, an insurance brokerage firm, spent $120,000 on the masks and 8,000 gowns.
On Thursday, employees loaded up the personal protective equipment to be delivered to hospitals across the metro.
“Anything that we can do to help our community and to help our health care heroes in Kansas City, we felt like whatever we could do was worth the effort,” Executive Vice President Denise Bade said. “We want to do everything we can to protect them and help our community.”
The company also has previously donated hand sanitizer and face shields.
