KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City, Kansas, soccer club showed its support for area health care workers on Saturday.
Members of KC Fusion took items to Providence Medical Center and displayed signs of support near the hospital.
The team, according to Brady Lilja, a mother of two players, said that the team raised $900 and used the money to donate more than 200 meals from Margaritas to the workers. They also provided candy, snacks and beverages.
KC Fusion typically plays at Wyandotte Sporting Fields across the street from the hospital, according to a Facebook post from Providence Medical Center.
