KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Leawood restaurant donated lunch on Tuesday to hospital employees at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

BurgerFi staff unloaded all of the meals to send to workers at the hospital. The restaurant fed every person working during lunch on Tuesday.

The restaurant owner said it was a way to say “thank you” to those working on the front lines.

“It’s a small token of appreciation for them putting themselves on the line and keeping us safe,” Josh Kurzban said. “Any small bit we can do — we’re extremely grateful.”

Other BurgerFi locations across the country are doing the same for hospitals in their areas.
