KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Operation BBQ Relief served 5,000 free meals Thursday to health care workers at the University of Kansas Health System.
The local nonprofit is known for its response to disasters all over the country, providing free meals to emergency-aid workers.
The meals they gave out Thursday brought their total meals served to 4 million.
