KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Pizza Hut locations in the Kansas City metro made a donation to the Shawnee Mission School District's meal program.

On Monday, franchisees donated 375 pizzas to the program for families to pick up for lunch.

"They were so excited. They're surprised," said Pam Seuferling, senior marketing director for NPC International, Pizza Hut's parent company. "They didn't know they were getting it and they were like, 'Pizza? You just made our day!'"

"That's why we're here, and that's what we're about is to help make their day and make it a little easier in this stressful time we're going through right now," Seuferling added.
