KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Domino's partnered with Sporting Serves on Wednesday to give away free pizzas.
People could register online to pick one up Wednesday morning.
Sporting Serves is the new philanthropic platform started by Sporting KC.
The goal is to give a boost to families who need help putting food on the table.
“Sporting Kansas City feels like we need to give back to the community as much as we possibly can. We know how tough of a time this is for so many people,” said Nate Bukaty, the play-by-play announcer for Sporting KC.
Sporting KC hopes to feed 1,000 people per day through this initiative.
